Hurray!

No more ventilator! The doctors did decide to remove it! Mom said Dad asked rapid-fire questions when the tube came out, one of the first being "Why can't I move my arm?" (The nurse forgot she had tied it down when he was moving around too much so he couldn't pull out the tube himself!)

He has an oxygen mask still to help him breathe a little easier, and his lips are swollen from having had the tube for so long, but otherwise he is able to talk quite well already.

Praise God!

I'm sure it's quite a relief for Stan and also you as the family to see him off the venitator. We were gone for a few days and I'm just in awe of Stan's progress since I last looked. Way to go Stan! Thank you God! Thanks for all the continued updates. Take Care, Crystal, Paul & Family Quilliams

Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life form the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles. (from Psalm 103)

A thankful prayer for forgiveness, for healing, for redemption, for love, for good things, for renewal.
