Dad "graduated" today, to the sixth floor! As all of the other families got transferred we would say they graduated, so finally it's our turn! He will be in an observation ward first, and then hopefully a private room.
Other milestones are he was able to sit in a chair today, and will be receiving a "normal" supper tray!
He was also excited to visit Uncle Bill and Auntie Vi today.
Even though he's out of ICU, they are still asking to limit visitors to 2 at a time and only for about 10 minutes, to not wear him out!
Thank God for such wonderful news!

I'm so happy for you all. As soon as I read your posting I had to give up a hearty Hallelujah! Stan's progress is such an encouragement to people here who are praying. More hurdles lie ahead but God has seen you through so much already.
From your brothers and sisters in Red Deer,
John Smith
Congratulations, Stan!!! Hopefully, this ward is quieter for you.
Congratulations to Stan. What a milestone. I'm sure you're not going to be satisfied with the hospital soon and will start pushing for "Let's go home!". You are an inspiration to all of us.
Way to go, Stan! You are a real trooper. We continue to thank God for this amazing blessing. We are so happy for you and for your family. (It's kind of nice to send wishes directly to you now, instead of "about" you.) Take care. Look forward to seeing you and Maxine soon! Love, LaWanda

Dear Maxine and Family...we just got the Blog from Trish Jacobs in Vernon. We are SO thankful to our gracious God and Father for Stan's continued progress. We realize this has been a very difficult and trying time. Stan's progress , in our minds, is truly a result of the petitions that have been sent up on his behalf. OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!!! We pray for a complete recovery for Stan, that you will remain strong, and that qualified people will continue their excellant care. Much Love in Him, Gary and Diane Friesen.
SO happy to learn of your progress Stan. I am sure you will be asking for special treats and Maxine's home cooking soon.
Your family has been an insperation to all of us. We thank God daily for your healing and return to daily activities

What a thrill to know that you have come so far in your healing that you can be out of ICU Stan--you have been truly blessed! Take care and don't overdue it--remember, "small goals" to start with! Maxine, we can't imagine the relief you must be feeling to have Stan back. Take care both of you--we love you both and are keeping you in our prayers!

It is wonderful to see how well Stan is doing! Our Sunday School class (in Memphis) has been praying for him and asking about him. I know there is a long struggle ahead before life returns to "normal," but we are encouraged to see his progress.
Way to go Stan!! Graduations are great milestones. David says real food after intravenous, clear liquids and green jello is wonderful!! We continue to keep you in our prayers. Love to you all.
