The way we were...
Neita and I were looking at this photo the last day we were together and LOVING IT.
What wonderful times we shared at Manson. Here's who you're seeing. Back row is Doris Muller, Lorna Jacobs, Leila Andreas (visiting) and Neita Elford. Next row is LaWanda Jacobs, Shelley Jacobs and me, Maxine Bell (then Jacobs) Ohhhhhhh, the way we were. Thankyou God for our connection! Neita passed away on Sunday morning. We'll miss our dear friend.
"Memories light the corners of my mind,
Misty water-colored memories of the way we were.
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were.
Can it be that it was all so simple then??
or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again,
Tell me, would we? could we?
Memories, may be beautiful and yet
what's too painful to remember
we simply choose to forget
SO... it is the laughter we will remember
whenever we remember the way we were!"
Update: A Memorial service for Neita Elford will be held on March 5 at 2 pm at the Regina Funeral Home, Highway #1 East. You will find the book of condolences at www.regina-memorial.ca
